How It Works

Every 12 hours a new voting window opens. You get one vote per category per window — cast yours for your favourite local business and help them win! Each vote earns you points toward your Local Legend status.

Blitz rounds are high-intensity short voting events — usually just one hour — where you can vote much more frequently, sometimes every few minutes. They're announced on-air and on the site. Keep an eye out for the ⚡ badge on a category.

⚠️ Blitz votes do not count toward your voting streak or normal cooldown timer — they're a bonus event.

Local businesses are nominated into different categories...

Every action earns you points — voting, nominating, leaving reviews, building streaks, and completing achievements. Points add up to unlock tiers and earn bonus draw entries.

Unlock achievements by reaching milestones — your first vote, a 7× streak, 100 votes cast, leaving your first review, and more. Each achievement awards bonus points and shows on your profile. Watch for the achievement toast when you unlock one!

Active voters are automatically entered into prize draws. The more you vote, the more entries you earn. Some draws require a minimum number of votes or a streak to qualify — check the draw details on your profile. Winners are announced on-air and on the Winners page.

Winners appear on the leaderboard and in the Hall of Fame. The leaderboard shows top businesses by votes, top voters, longest streaks, and the Local Legend points rankings. Consistent participation pays off — your name could be up there.

Know a great local business that isn't listed yet? Add them to the directory and nominate them for an upcoming round. Approved nominations go straight into voting — and you earn points when your nomination gets approved.
